The Jeep Renegade launched in New Zealand in 2015 as the brand's smallest crossover, sitting on a Stellantis small-car platform shared with Fiat. Volume has been modest across its NZ life, with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol as the volume drivetrain, a 2.0-litre petrol 4WD Trailhawk variant for off-road buyers, and a 4xe plug-in hybrid on current facelift stock through Ateco. The Renegade cross-shops on NZ used listings against the Mazda CX-3, Hyundai Kona, and Kia Seltos, and pulls buyers who want Jeep styling at a lower price point than Compass. Almost all NZ stock is NZ-new through authorised dealers, which keeps finance applications clean on compliance and service history.

Because the Renegade sits on a Stellantis platform shared with Fiat and depreciates a little faster than the mainstream Japanese compact-crossover average, a 4-year term with a 10 to 15% deposit is widely observed as the cleaner structure, particularly on used examples past 80,000 km.
