Ford Falcon finance calculator Not a lender. Not a broker. Ford stopped building the Falcon in 2016, and yet more than 35,000 remain on the Carjam fleet register, which places it ahead of most current models. That combination of large fleet and no new supply is what makes it distinctive on this site: every Falcon financed from here on is a used purchase, and the vehicle's age is the constraint rather than its price. The parc splits between the FG and FG X sedans, the wagons, and the utes that were a mainstay of New Zealand trades before the twin-cab took that market.

Financing notes
At $9,000 over three years at 8% indicative, the weekly repayment sits near $67. Because production ended in 2016, most lenders' limit on vehicle age at the end of the term binds well before the loan amount does, and that is what shortens Falcon terms rather than anything about the car. On the ute variants used mainly for work, a chattel mortgage is sometimes the better structure, and your accountant confirms which applies.
Model-specific questions
Yes, on ordinary used-car terms. What matters to a lender is what the vehicle would fetch on resale, and the Falcon has a large and active used market here. The binding constraint is age at the end of the term, so the term available shortens each year the model gets older.
A $9,000 FG sedan over three years at 8% indicative works out at about $67 a week, and a $16,000 FG X over four years at roughly $90. The calculator above shows what a deposit does to each, which at this end of the market is usually the fastest way to shorten a term.
The loan itself is the same, but the use often differs. Where the ute is mainly a work vehicle a chattel mortgage is commonly the better structure than a consumer car loan, and the deductibility position follows from that. Which one applies is a question for your accountant, subject to their confirmation.
Fuel is the obvious one and is well above a four-cylinder car of similar value. Tyres, brakes and suspension components on a heavy rear-drive car are not cheap either, and on the older generations those bills arrive more often. They sit in the same weekly budget as the repayment.
Our finance partner compares multiple NZ lenders. Calculator inputs travel through to the application, and the partner returns a formal estimate after the lender's credit assessment.
Disclaimer
A car loan runs for years, and the repayment comes out of the same pay that covers everything else. This site exists to show you that weekly number before you sign anything. The payment that catches people out is the one that's fine on a good week and tight on a bad one.
Carfinance.org.nz receives a commission from Simplify when a visitor applies through this site and their application is approved. We refer every visitor to the same partner because they compare multiple New Zealand lenders on the applicant's behalf, so the referral is not driven by a sponsored deal. Simplify sets its own terms and fees and discloses them directly; anything you agree to happens on their side, not ours. Every figure shown on this site is a modelled estimate based on the inputs entered; the actual rate, fees, and repayments are set by the lender after assessing the applicant's circumstances and its own credit decision. Carfinance.org.nz is a calculator and information tool. We are not a lender, not a broker, and not a registered financial adviser. Any decision about whether a specific loan suits a specific situation is best made after talking with the lender, and for amounts that materially affect the household, with a registered financial adviser.
