Nissan Skyline finance calculator Not a lender. Not a broker. There are more than 17,000 Skylines on New Zealand roads, which is unusual for what is essentially an enthusiast car. The parc spans two quite different things: older rear-drive coupes and sedans bought for what they are, and later V36 and V37 sedans bought as comfortable large cars. For finance the split matters, because the enthusiast end attracts modification, and a modified vehicle is assessed differently by an insurer even when the lender treats it the same. Insurance is the constraint that most often decides whether a Skyline purchase proceeds.

Financing notes
At $15,000 over four years at 8% indicative, the weekly repayment sits near $84. Comprehensive cover is a lender requirement for the life of the loan, and on the enthusiast generations premiums can be a substantial annual figure, particularly for younger drivers. That is worth having quoted before settlement rather than after, because it lands in the same weekly budget as the repayment.
Model-specific questions
They affect the insurance more directly than the loan. An insurer prices a modified vehicle differently and some decline cover on certain modifications, and because comprehensive cover is a lender requirement, an insurance problem becomes a finance problem. Certification paperwork for any structural or engine modification is what resolves most of it.
Some lenders write them and some will not, because a vehicle over thirty years old sits outside the standard age limit at the end of a term. Where mainstream lending does not fit, buyers commonly use a personal loan instead, which is unsecured and priced accordingly.
A $15,000 V36 sedan over four years at 8% indicative runs at roughly $84 a week, and a $22,000 V37 over five years at about $106. The calculator above shows what a deposit does to each, and at this end of the market a deposit also helps the insurance conversation.
Not uniformly. Indicative NZ used-market trends show the older enthusiast generations holding or firming on clean, unmodified examples, while the later sedans depreciate more like any large car. That difference is worth knowing before choosing a term, because a long loan behaves very differently across the two.

Disclaimer
A car loan runs for years, and the repayment comes out of the same pay that covers everything else. This site exists to show you that weekly number before you sign anything. The payment that catches people out is the one that's fine on a good week and tight on a bad one.
Carfinance.org.nz receives a commission from Simplify when a visitor applies through this site and their application is approved. We refer every visitor to the same partner because they compare multiple New Zealand lenders on the applicant's behalf, so the referral is not driven by a sponsored deal. Simplify sets its own terms and fees and discloses them directly; anything you agree to happens on their side, not ours. Every figure shown on this site is a modelled estimate based on the inputs entered; the actual rate, fees, and repayments are set by the lender after assessing the applicant's circumstances and its own credit decision. Any decision about whether a specific loan suits a specific situation is best made after talking with the lender, and for amounts that materially affect the household, with a registered financial adviser.
