Toyota Estima finance calculator Not a lender. Not a broker. Estima and Previa are the same vehicle under two names, and the Carjam fleet register lists both. Previa is what Toyota New Zealand sold new; Estima is the Japanese-market badge, and the great majority of the roughly 20,000 on the road here came in through the import channel. It is the default choice when seven seats are not enough and a van is too much, and the hybrid variants that were only ever sold in Japan are a meaningful slice of the used parc here. That hybrid stock is the part of the market where a lender's term tends to tighten.

Financing notes
At $14,000 over four years at 8% indicative, the weekly repayment sits near $78. On the hybrid variants a lender commonly prefers a shorter term, for the same reason it does on any hybrid: the traction battery is the least predictable part of the vehicle's remaining value. Where the vehicle carries passengers for hire, the insurance and certification position changes, and lenders ask about it because it affects the resale pool as well as the risk.
Model-specific questions
Yes. Previa is the name Toyota New Zealand sold it under new, and Estima is the Japanese-market badge that most of the used imports here carry. They are the same people-mover underneath, which is why the fleet register lists both and why lenders assess them as one asset.
Yes, and it is a common purchase because the hybrid was never sold new here in any other form. The practical effect on the loan is a shorter term on older examples, because the remaining battery life is the least predictable part of the value. That raises the weekly figure and lowers the total interest.
A $13,000 2011 example over four years at 8% indicative runs at roughly $73 a week, and a $24,000 2016 example over five years at about $116. The calculator above shows what a deposit does to each.
It does not change the loan type, but it changes the questions. A vehicle used for passenger transport sits in a different insurance and certification category, and lenders ask because it affects both the risk and who would buy the vehicle later. Where the operation is a business, the structure is worth settling with an accountant before applying.

Disclaimer
A car loan runs for years, and the repayment comes out of the same pay that covers everything else. This site exists to show you that weekly number before you sign anything. The payment that catches people out is the one that's fine on a good week and tight on a bad one.
Carfinance.org.nz receives a commission from Simplify when a visitor applies through this site and their application is approved. We refer every visitor to the same partner because they compare multiple New Zealand lenders on the applicant's behalf, so the referral is not driven by a sponsored deal. Simplify sets its own terms and fees and discloses them directly; anything you agree to happens on their side, not ours. Every figure shown on this site is a modelled estimate based on the inputs entered; the actual rate, fees, and repayments are set by the lender after assessing the applicant's circumstances and its own credit decision. Carfinance.org.nz is a calculator and information tool. We are not a lender, not a broker, and not a registered financial adviser. Any decision about whether a specific loan suits a specific situation is best made after talking with the lender, and for amounts that materially affect the household, with a registered financial adviser.
