Cupra finance calculator

A VW-Group sporty European brand on New Zealand finance books since 2022, distributed through European Motor Distributors. The current range covers the Formentor compact performance crossover and the Born full-EV hatch on the VW ID.3 platform. Lender residual data is still forming on Cupra because NZ supply has been short, so loan-to-value caps tend to run slightly more conservative than on equivalent Audi or VW stock. Prices typically run from about $50,000 on a used Formentor to around $120,000 on a new Formentor VZ5.

The week on a badge most people meet new
The calculator above is free and needs no sign-up. Cupra is recent enough in New Zealand that a used Formentor or Born is hard to find, so the term and the deposit carry the weekly figure rather than the car's age.

A formal application, past this point
A car finance provider runs the credit assessment and sets the rate. We don't do that side.

Affordability check
What does a car loan cost against an income?
This one works backwards. It takes an income, assumes tax and ACC take about 28% of it, and shows the loan sizes that land at 10% and 15% of what is left, over 5 years at 7%. Those are this page's assumptions, not a lender's rules.
Not an affordability assessment. A lender's decision takes in your other debts, your actual expenses, and your credit history, none of which this knows about. Plenty of loans get written either side of these numbers.

Our finance partner compares NZ lenders and returns a formal estimate after the lender's credit assessment. Calculator inputs travel through to the application so nothing gets re-typed.
